My girlfriend and I of 11 months had been arguing frequently and she has had alot going on in her life with her family and her and I arguing wasnt helping. Last week I broke up with her out of anger. Well 4 days later I called her and told her that i wanted to talk with her. When i arrived to her house i sat down and the first thing she said to me was "I dont want to get back together with you, I need a BREAK from the relationship and I have too much on my plate right now with my family and with school strating I cant be arguing with you I jsut need a Break". I had hand-made her a card that stated that i wanted to get back with her and try to work things out and that I would be more sensitive and not jealous. The big problem with our relationship was that everytime I went out with my friends it was fine and she never bothered me. but when she would go out with her friends I would become jealous and not really trust her. In the beginning of the relationship I was not jealous at all. Buyt lately with all the problems she had been having everytime I would try to help she would simply say that she "wanted to be alone" which made me feel very insecure. After she stated that she needed a break I told her I was confused and didnt understand. She then repeated that she needed a break and that she wasnt gonna go try to date other people or anything and that she didnt want to be in a relationship right now. She says she needs time to herself and her family and she wants to be able to hang out with friends andcousins without having to worry everytime she goes out about me getting jealous. I asked her if she thought we could get back together and all she could say was she "didnt know". I told her how its gonna kill me If i end up seeing her with someone else...and he said "maybe it will be a friend..maybe it will be a date..maybe we'll get back together..I jsut dont know right now" She told me she wanted to keep in touch with me and wanted to be able to call me and wanted me to call her. It's jus tthat she doesnt want to deal with the relationship right now and feels I need to lose my double standard ways. Which I totally agree with. I have never been in a long relationship like this..both of us are 21yrs. old and she told me fter askign for the break that she still cares about me alot and that this is hard for her just as it is hard for me. While she was telling me this i got a lil' teary eyed and a lil' angry becasue i didnt feel it was fair. Why should i have to live down my decisions?...Shouldnt I have gotten a second chance?
Well, 2 days after asking for the break she calkled me and aksed if i could talk to my father(who is a salesman) to see if he could get a water heate rfor her uncle. I acted cool and calm and did the favor. That same night she called and told me thank you. Then 2 more days later we talked. I seen her dirivntg and she waved to me and she called me. I asked how she had been and how **** with her father has been going. She pretty much told me evrything she had been up to. She had been hanigng oout with her lilttle cousin because it was there birthday. She asked what i had been up to and we chatted for like 5 mintues. After tlakting to her she told me to "give her a call later".
Well...I called her that night before i was heading out with my friends and when i called her she was confused. She asked what was up and I said "you told me to call you" and she said "uh..im sorry i didnt mean it like that".she seemed aggravated and a lil weirded out..then she asked what i was doing and i told her i was heading out and she told me to have a goodtime. Im taking this break very hard and dont understand the difference between a break-up and a break. They both feel the same. How do i really know if she doesnt wanna see other people? does it soudn that way? Am i just on the backburner? I really havnt been doing any of the contacting..should i go No-contact and ignore her calls for a week even though she wants me to call her and her call me? When i talk to her im scared to bring US up because that is wants she wants a break from. Is it good brownie points to call her once in awhile showing her I care?Also., im lost because on September 18 her ocusin is getting married to a friend of mines that ive known for a good 6yrs. and im gonna see her at the wedding. Im am clsoe to her family and she is close to mine. What should i Do...i need ideas and i wanna be with her...but i dont wanna look like a sucker....i cant just be her friend and i dont want it to end up like that...I still love this girl...i need advice badly. When should ask if the break is up? does it sound like shes just trying to make it easy for me?..Am i getting sympathy?..Im willign to change..how do i show her!

Dude, I say its time to move on. You being 21 yrs old, there's a billion of other chicks
out there. Those 11 months were fun, werent they? With the exception of YOU getting
insecure about your g/f. That's the biggest turn-off for both dudes and chicks in a relationship.

This one's over. You blew it when you decided to call it quits, then changed your mind.
It really spewed insecurity. And your insecurity bled all over the frickin place when you called
her immediately after you saw her after the waterheater thing. I hope youre not calling her
to just know she's home or wanting to hear her voice or worse, driving by her house.

The next relationship you get yourself into, be cool, calm and just let it flow. Don't force yourself
onto someone, its pretty disgusting and chicks don't like that. Treat love like a hand of Blackjack.
If you get a pair of 10's, double down and hope for the best. If you get a face card and a 7 card, hold and see if the dealer has a better hand.

How do I know this stuff? I did all of those things I wrote above and brother was I pathetic. Just be kewl and everything will work out for you in the future, but for now, leave her alone for crissakes.
