my room mate (for the record we are friends and she is too high maintenance for me, so I don't like her that way anymore ) told me tonight that a friend of hers who I flirt with is uncomfortable that I call her by her nick name when I see her...I can't see how she would be uncomfortable that seems a little odd to me, apparently my room mate is the only one that calls her by this name and that I was just bieng warned so she doesn't feel uncomfortable next time she comes around, oddly when she was doing this she was playing with hair and looking me straight in the eyes.

any clues?

Just call her by here real name and stop using the nickname..

Basically you need to ask her why .. It is a feeling about a nickname and only she can tell you why..

I and or anybody else most likely won't know why ..

Maybe when she was younger someone teased her ..

I know when I was young people twisted my name until a new word was born and my whole life I have hated it if someone called me that..

ok, ok, I know why. Check this out, me and my mom do the same thing. She calls me _,and she has always called me it.So it has become like this personal thing/bond between us. Which is probaly why the other girl is uncomfortable when you called her by her nickname.she and her friend obviously have this great bond, and i take it you don't know her that well, so I hate to break it to you, but she is not comfortable enough around you, for you to refer to her.


And if you still don't get what I mean, ok, say u just met this girl, she is cool and all, but u don't really know her that well, and one day she asked to borrow ur car, now mind u , u have only known her at least two weeks. Now would u really feel comfortable loaning her ur car? well that is how it is with the nickname. She is jus at a stage with u, were she really isn't that comfortable.
