Double standard

Ever since I went to personnel about my boss grabbing my arm, I have had a hostile work environment. I have dealt with it OK until now. There is an obvious double standard here.

I have co-workers who literally come into work 30-45 mintues late. They don't have to document this on their time cards. I have been told my pay will be docked.

I am so pissed. I was late 5 ****ing minutes today. Fine dock my 5 minutes. Jesus Christ. I need a new job.

Do you have a decent HR department? If you do you may want to discuss this with them. I mean the fairness element. Don't argue the point you being docked, but moreso of how the docking is "selective"

My HR department blows a hairy ballsack.

I had an incident where my boss grabbed my arm while she was yelling at me once, big no-no, right? They still haven't done sh*t about it. I just emailed HR today. Bullsh*t.

You are on notice. They will pick apart EVERY SINGLE THING you do that you should not be doing and use it against you. You have to be nothing short of a saint now. You can try documenting the others' lateness, etc. but in the end, you're the pariah here so you have to be so lily white and perfect that nobody can find a single flaw.

I agree with moi,

You may want to get in touch with a labour lawyer just to ensure that you know what to do to CYA.

But I suggest looking for another job.

Today my boss announced a new rule, every 5 minutes your late he docks 15 (5=15, 10=30, 15=45, etc) No make up, no overtime. Plus, to "earn" paid vacation you must have 35 to 40 hours a week every week! If you miss one day you lose you vaca time. Oh, and this is effective with tomorrows paycheck. Can he do that?

Amazing....btw what's your job anyways? I wouldn't be surprised if it was retail. This type of crap happens all the time with some people. If you're not buddy-buddy with the boss, you get the low end of the deal.

btw: It must really suck to be in a job with a hostile environment. Heck, you can have the best job in the world, but if you're not appreciated, it's quite depressing.
