Hello everyone... Sorry this post is so long...

My mom is dating this guy. His son is 16 (Kevin) and I am 17. They thought it would be a good idea if the two of us met... so we did. Myself, my cousin and her guy friend, another girl friend, and Kevin went to the movies one night. The original intent was to make Kevin feel comfortable in our group, and to hook him up with the other girl friend (Ryan). However, what actually happened was Kevin ended up crushing over Me. The next weekend we went out as well and had a great time bowling and at the movies, he was flirting major.

Actually... Ryan ended up HATING Kevin, so everything worked out...

So, the next week was prom. My senior prom. I had a date, but the Monday before prom, he bailed on me and said he had a gf, we were just friends anyway. So, my mom said I should ask Kevin B to prom and his dad said it was a great idea. So... I called Kevin and asked him to prom. He confessed that he liked me and everything. So that weekend we went to prom. After prom we went back to the hotel with our friends for a little while, then we came back to my house and he kissed me.

Kevin's dad said that Kevin's mom told him that it was sick for him to like me and for us to date and she was making fun of him... note that we aren't related in any way and we're not dating, but only friends.. and it really upset him, so now...

The following weekend my friends and I were going to a Relay for Life party to celebrate it's ending, and we invited him to go but he said he couldnt go. Then he called and said he could. Then he called back and said he couldnt. Then we went to the party anyway but we got rained out, and Keivn called us and asked us to come pick him up cos he wanted to go out with us. The whole evening he was being a jerk and I told him he was being an ass and to stop it. He told another friend that it was me who was being mean and not him at all. Then when we got back to his house to drop him off, I got out in the pouring rain to talk to him, and he said he would call me, but never has... this happened on Friday, today is Tuesday. He did text me Saturday morning and say "sorry" and "i'm not mad".

I don't know what to do. I like him... a LOT and I don't want him to not like me just because his mom was being a b*tch! What do I do?
