happy hour mishap

Hi! The office is work at is known as the gossip mill. For this reason I never go out w/coworkers to happy hours. Well, I decided to go last night because another friend of mine was going.

I ended getting really drunk off martinis....and hit on another woman who happened to be friends w/a coworker of mine. Ugh I feel embarrassed now because I am just going to assume this will get back to the office. I am a woman too by the way.

How should I deal?

You were drunk - feign ignorance of the entire episode. If someone comments just laugh & say, "Wow, I must have been really drunk!!"

I agree. Make light of the situation. If someone comments, it's always good to just laugh it off.

But if you feel you really made a fool out of yourself, it might also be a good idea to go to the offendee and apologize.
