I once heard that the average person thinks about sex every 7 seconds (...or was that minutes? )

one day at a time

just as an experiment: try and stay away from the net for a day or two. just do things away from the screen. go to a movie. risde a bike. trun a marathon. bake a cake.

now if you find yourself obsessing about what you are not seeing as opposed to enjoying what you are doing then maybe you should consider a media fast. five days or so with nothing but a good book and lots of extra work or something.

the point is, it may not be an addiction as much as your mind may not be occupied enough to stay away. try that first.

an addiciton to porn can mean a lot of things so just try and keep getting the answer simple. DO SOMETHING ELSE.

Some questions which may or may not help

--- does the activity detract from other important activities?
--- do you use the activity to avoid dealing with things that discomfort you?

--- how do you feel about your use of it?
--- good, bad, happy, sad, fulfilled, drained?

---what about the models?
---have they been abused in the making of the product?

---is the sex depicted a celebration of life and Eros?
---or is it a depiction of power and dominance over someone-
in which that most intimate part of ourselves is used as a tool
to achieve this?
