Depends on which genre you like. I could give you a long list of good books, but what do you enjoy reading?

Big Trouble by Dave Barry, usually his books are non fiction, but this one isnt. i read it and its hilarious!

I'm currently reading:

"I am Charlotte Simmons" by Tom Wolfe
reviews and synopsis
(excellent book, but then again I'm a big Tom Wolfe fan)

"Jack: The Great Seducer - The Life and Many Loves of Jack Nicholson" by Edward Douglas
review and synopsis
(fascinating guy, and a hella interesting love life - I feel sorry for any lady who is foolish enough to fall in love with this guy)

"What Einstein Told his Cook: Kitchen Science Explained" by Robert L. Wolke
review and synopsis
(I think stuff like this is fascinating - I read a lot of 'cooking science' type books, and food writing)

Currently I'm re-reading the Harry Potter series! If you haven't read them yet -- they are great!

Some of my favorite books:

The Stand by Stephen King
You Get Used to a Place -- this is an old book, probably find it in a used bookstore, I don't remember the author
We Have Always Lived in the Castle - Shirley Jackson
A Night in the Lonesome October - Roger Zelazny
Watership Down - Richard Adams
Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit - JRR Tolkien
Jurassic Park - Michael Crichton (much better than the movie)

If you like romantic mysteries, check out books by these authors:
Mary Higgens Clark
Victoria Holt
Barbara Michaels

If you like true crime, try:

Hokey,

I keep trying to read the Harry Potter books and for some reason I just can't seem to get started, I feel like I am the last one to read them. I loved all of the movies they are genius! Course finding a minute to read at all is almost impossible especially around this time of year.

I LOVED The Stand! Also love true crime. Guess you've read all of Ann Rule.

I like history/non fiction lately....but will never forget the 18 hour period when I read The Stand and could not put it down. I was getting a cold at the time! Do you remember how everyone died after a little sneezing? Freaked me out.

Did you ever read Thinner? King wrote it under a psuedonym. It is my favorite King book. Creepy.

The Road Less Traveled is my favorite personal growth book. I make myself reread it every couple of years.
