Going around in circles, commitment phobia!!

Need some advice. I have been dating this guy for a year now. Everything went really well and really fast in the beginning. He took me on this week long ski trip and told that he loved me when we had been dating at 6 months and said that he thought I was the one,etc... Then we started fighting, we broke up in March for a week, then he came back to me. Then things were good, was not fighting as much, then we broke up again in May. He said that he didn't see the relationship working out and he couldn't do it anymore. One week later he came back and told me he wanted to work things out again. Then his family and himself took me to Florida for a week vacation this summer, a week later, we went to the lakehouse with his mom and dad and then one week later, he broke up with me again. Didn't talk to him for 2 weeks. He saw me out, I was having a wonderful time, and of course he calls twice at 4 am, I didn't answer, he called the next day twice, so I called him back. I ended up going over to his house that night, we talked and having been talking for the last week. Things have been good, he tells me he wants things to work out, he doesn't want to hurt me again, he loves me, etc...... We get into a big conversation on Monday, I told him that I feel like he wants to have his cake and eat it too. He has been acting weird ever since our conversation, then today, same stuff, I don't know how to make this work, I want to be with you, but I don't know what to do. So, I know that I have basically been there for him anytime that he wants me there. I don't know whether to move on, even though I really care for him and love him, or to relax and try to go with the flow, I just don't know what to do? All I know is that I am sick of being hurt and going around in circles. Is there any hope? I am desparate for advice!!!!!

mmmmmmmmmm, cake sounds good right about now!

Seriously, if you are looking for a relationship but he's not, then it's going to be hard for your relationship to work. If you are willing to wait it out and see if he can get a bit more serious then do so, but I would probably not be able to.
