We are both married but sleeping with eachother

My ex. and I had a kid together then went through a horrible break up. We both married other people and created new families.

My ex. and I worked out all of our problems and are deeply in love with each other.

Now there is this huge I mean big opportunity for me to be WITH him.

Should I have the affair of a life time or just stay loyal?

Your nick is "love returnes"...

Yes, love does return, but so do the problems. You guys got divorced because of some real real issues, and it's easy to fall in love with someone again if you don't have to deal with the issues on a day to day basis. But the moment you get back together, those issues might come rushing back.

I'd be very very careful if I were you.
