Ok, I've admitted it to myself - I think elegant body piercing is beautiful. But, I hate piercing just for the sake of it.
And only on women, but that's just me. I would never have myself pierced, my internal body image doesn't fit (yet). But, I think that it is beautiful on others.

I hear ya, what I mean is, that extra piercing that is added just because it's possible, and not because it adds any "extra aesthetism", if you know what I mean. For example, a scrotum that has another one added, simply because there happens to be space for one more among the two dozen already there.
But I hear what you're saying, and I recognise the relativism in my own statement.
Of course, your opininion is valid, like anyone elses. I would just like for you to concede that your opinion is relativist. Ear piercings are not considered sick, but when you get down to it, it's EXACTLY the same thing. But the line that people draw for themselves is artificial.
Papillon, I'll readily concede the relativism of my opinion--but I don't find this attractive at all. I think that the female body is very beautiful. I think that when you stick a piece of metal in it, it's not attractive anymore, it loses it's beauty. If you were to stick a high rise building in the center of Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is still gorgeous, of course, but the building is distracting and it takes away from the beauty. Similar to piercings. The reason it's different from ear piercing is not social boundaries or prejudice, it's merely because I'd appreciate the beauty of a woman's nipple, lips, eye, and wherever else--whereas the ear is something that I don't find paticularly alluring, and therefore the distraction isn't bothersome.
I can't say I like body piercing, but there are peple that look really cool with it. I don't know why, in my teen I've kind of been attracted to guys with bodypiercing... Never had the courage to date any bad boy, though...

Well said. And further, I personally think it makes them look like freaks.
