Here's a poem 4 ex lovers tell me what ya'll think

I'm going to miss your touch
plus I'm sorry I loved you so much.
I promise not to bother you w/ my foolsih emotions anymore
I'll just lock them up inside and press ignore.
I swear I dont mean to act depressed when you come around
I do look deep inside to smile but a frown is all thats found.
Do you understand I do want to try and be friends
but its really hard to contend, that means comes to terms with the end.
I do promise to try b/c I know I cant completly say goodbye.
I do hope oneday you'll see & agree
lovers are what we are meant to be
I dont think i'll ever understand all of this
but I know along the way something went amiss.
I'll end this so I can try not to look anymore ridiculous than I have already
Just remember I love you and I'm here when your ready.

It's a great poem. Sounds like a recent break up, about a week. However those feelings about friendship, and being here when you are ready tend to fade away. My point is I would not send that poem to an ex because you will later regret it.

Definitely don't send it. Keep it tucked away somewhere and bring it out when you're ready for the Boyfriend Barbeque.

Saying "i'm here when your ready" just lets them know that you are waiting and allows them to think of you as a security blanket. I learned this the hard way. It only prolongs the pain, and doesn't help anybody. You want them to think that you are moving on with your life! Or else they'll keep you waiting forever!

Thumbs up reply to sinkerswim

Bravo!!
There are different types of people in this world and sometimes the ones who find it easier to leave, move on, etc., find it difficult to believe people can feel otherwise. Admittedly, I am a hopeless romantic, so I feel as you do. Best of luck!!
