so i'm a fast typer and sometimes a short post takes me less than 60 seconds to type - why can't i post it?! why do i have to go back and wait 60 seconds? does it have to do w/ DB issues?

Lots of boards have this ...it's to prevent jerks from flooding the board/forum, with a whole bunch of posts (malicious/spam/stupid), one right after the other. Prevents these bozos from typing up a spam-like or trollish response, and then repeatedly hitting the "post" button....and posting it dozens of times.

Yeah thats why, stop people from doing bad stuff, but it does get annoying when i post to quickly.

It's a good thing, if whatever you have is worth saying you can have another window up and read some topics while you're waiting for the minute to expire.
