I realize the number of acceptable partners is different for everyone. I was just curious as to what is the general census. What is to much? and in advance..Thanks!
In my own personal opinion...I think that if you can't count them on 1 hand and give me at least give first names and years you dated....not worth my time....of course that can change depending on age....being 19 and having 15 boyfriends/girfriends...probably not a "safe" idea....
Btw...I've only had 3 long term boyfriends...and Im 23
Speaking as a guy, assuming a woman I liked was around 25, the "acceptable" number of sexual partners would be between 3 and 15. Less than 3, I would question her sexual skills; more than 15, I would question her moral skills.
As many as it takes to find the perfect one. I'm not saying that's it's Ok to sleep around I'm just saying that untill one finds the perfect match you can only keep trying.
I think that has long as you have your morals and dignity in tact and use good judgement when deciding when it's ok to be w/ someone then there is no #.
I'm 25 and I can still count the # of guys I've been with on less than one hand but I know girls who have been w/ far more than that. I'm single now so I'm sure I will be adding another one sometime in the near future and hopefully it'll work out.
Sometimes relationships just don't work out. In my case I only wanted to be w/ one person (like every other woman in my family) but it just didn't work out that way.
You could count my partners on the fingers of one hand but two of my closest friends (married for years now) had 17 and 19 lovers respectively before marriage in their 30s and I don't think they are untypical. I guess it depends what you count - relationships? One night stands?
I don't see why some of you would have lower limits. There are some of us who have just been too busy trying to get by in life to get involved in relationships.
'course I may be a bit biased, since I myself have never had a relationship yet, at the age of 23. However, I think being a published author of two very large technical books (976 pages and 704 pages respectively) is a valid excuse, eh?

i think so too! 1680 combined pages!
let's see - i would say 2 of my relationships could constitute full length novels; one was more like a novella; and another one was like a short story.
novels average about 300 pages, novella about 100, and shorts about 35 - total 735. i have much to learn...
man, i love the idea of written text as relationships! i think 1680 is an exicting, but not intimidating, amount for guys my age! many guys i know have no idea at all how to seduce words into meaning!
