Red face "sleep" a foreign word in the college dictionary

[color=darkred] This month has got to be the icing on the cake.. in terms of my undergraduate schooling.. My teachers/professors must have talked amognst themselves, declaring that the students' of RU officially need to be fully educated, etc. having no fun & relaxed times for the next 15 weeks ( in a semester). And, also SLEEP is a big NO, NO!!! One must concentrate.. fully on whatever given topic presented.. ignoring everything else on thee outside world..

Am I the only one out their whom is feeling this way, lately??/

I'm getting the same impression from everyone I've talked too. I graduated from college in 01' but my boyfriend is still in college, as are still a couple of my friends.

All everyone talks about is 10 page papers due a day after being assigned and programs needing written and how they are not getting enough sleep, if any at all.

Plus, they're expecting you to show up for "campus-lab" activities for "extra credit" which of course, if you're in any of these retarded lab classes for Physics, Calc, or Trig, you're going to need if you're not a complete genius or done H.S. math in the past 6 months. So you add that to your normal 40+ hour work week that my boyfriend and one of my friend does, plus going to school taking 16 credits....and have to do these "campus-labs"....ugh!

I'm glad I graduated when I did....the only problem...I want to continue on in my I.T. degree. Yikes!

Thanks

For your response. At least I know that I'm not alone.. as your friends seem to be on the same page as I in fact am..

And, above all this.. I still am planning to pursue further into grad school.. Have I completely lost mind.. lol.

In the end, it will definately pay off. I'm presuming..

Lost your mind no...

Even to this day, with all this cramming and nervious breakdowns my boyfriend has over school, he's decided he wants to continue on with his graduate and then on to his PhD.

What scares me is that he wants to be an astronomer...he has a good paying job right now, over 35,000 per year in his first year of employment with this company. Good pay for this part of the country (nebraska).

Astronomers make hardly anything, if anything at all...and if they do, it's out of the country.

Ooh well, in richer or poorer I suppose...well I hope will be the line I can give one day. Hopefully he decides in a couple years that it'll just be a hobby. But whatever he decides is fine with me.

Good luck with your school work!
