Probably best to ask a professional hairstylist. I doubt there's actually a miracle product that will "grow your hair 7 inches in 5 days" or anything like that...

You might just have to be patient - people's hair grows at different rates.

Go to a health food store and get a jar of Biotin, in tablet form. Take as directed. Biotin helps build healthy hair and fingernails and in many cases speeds the growth of hair.

But don't try to pull it. You can pull it out and make the process take much longer.

I've heard that cutting your hair more often makes it grow faster. Obviously not a big cut, but just trimming the split ends. I don't really know for sure though. Ask the stylist maybe?

Re: any tips on growing faster hair

Growing faster hair? How fast does your hair go now? Where does it go when its going fast? How fast do you want it to go? Where do you want it to go so fast?

Sorry Patty, I couldn't resist.

A healthy diet and exercise is the best thing you can do for the health of your hair, and the healthier it is, the better.

A lot has to do with simple genetics. Just like weight, hair (& fingernail) growth is unique to the person. My sister's hair grows very slowly. Mine used to grow very fast (2 - 6 inches a month) but when I passed 40 years old, my hair rate slowed down.

Same with my fingernails. I've always had thin, weak nails and very short nail beds and my nails grow slowly. I started getting acrylic on my nails and most people I know need to go back every other week for a "fill" or manicure. I can go once every six weeks and the growth looks the same as those who have to go every 2 weeks.

Don't over condition your hair - that can sometimes stunt the growth of new hair. At least that's why my doctor said once.

That's really interesting. I had no idea Biotin had that ability.

Nice post.

don't dye it

Dyeing your hair, or any other way of loading it with chemicals, will damage it, and make the growth slower.

I have this thing I bought called Super Gro.On the container it says rich in proteins.with vitamin E,sage and sulphur, coconut oil. Then it says a miracle hair aid.I bought this cause I believed it would make my hair grow faster.Heres whats in it:

Petrolatum,mineral oil,sage-n-sulphur,wheat germ oil,jaborandi leaf,natural coconut oil,sesame seed oil,soybean oil,hydrolyzed coolagen,vitamins E,D, and A.fragrance D&C Green no.6, and D & C Yellow no.11

I saw the words Super Gro,so I thought it meant growing your hair faster,so I bought it.

on the back it says:
Super Gro is unique in it's ability to relieve dandruff, itchy scalp, splitting ends, dullness, and provides the roots with necessary organic oils and nutrients to promote healthy hair.

Hello guys,

Hair and nail tip:

About 6 months ago, we bought a Juicer and started juicing vegetable juice everyday. I only have on average 1 glass a day, but ever since, my hair and my nails have been growing at an incredible rate!

My husband has to get a hair cut every 3 weeks now, as to before he could go much longer without one.

So, not only my hair grows at an amazing rate, the juice also promotes good health. A little more trouble than a capsule, but well worth it!

Enjoy!

What will make your hair grow faster...

Been told this by one of my friends. If you excersize and eat healthy things begin to grow faster. I know with myself my hair grows fast, but I think it is a sign of being healthy, which it could just mean that it grows fast. Anyways, if I were you, getting it trimmed would help it out and if you go to the gym and excersize it will help out too plus eat healthy foods. You of course can't have your hair grow fast in a snap so just possibly do those things and it will help somewhat with your hair growth. Good luck to you.

Is hair growth and nail growth related?

My nails grow lso fast I have to trim them down every week because I start to look ridiculous. (My nails are super strong and just grow, grow, grow. I'm the type that goes to get a manicure and the manicurist goes on and on about what great nails I have.)

But my hair does not grow fast at all! Makes me wonder if there is really a connection or not!
