Hi everyone... this is my first post and boy do I need your imput!!

Short story:

Met my partner (as of today my ex) over a year ago, I thought he had never been married, turns out he was seperated, they had split up the previous year (pretty much 2 years ago) we started dating, everything was great, then his ex phones, we both live in Spain, she lives UK... she came out a year ago to see where they stood, there was nothing, she came out again at christmas, they had a miserable christmas (didnt we all?) He and I have been a full couple and fantastically happy until, his business partner wanted out of the UK business, he puts his wife in to run it instead. He is still living here in Spain and pretty much we are living together.. Our sex life is dynamite, theirs wasn't and he had cheated on her several times, he has never cheated on me.. a couple of months ago her daily phonecalls were getting way past business hours and he's acting pretty wierd...

Pretty much I layed it on the line, her calling at 1.30am on the weekend is no go, he agreed.. we limped along for a few weeks, eventually I said all or nothing... he has chased and chased and chased like you would not believe, Last week I gave in, gave him another chance, we have just had the most amazing week, he returned to the UK on thursday for business.. yesterday he was odd, today I asked him straight out and he finally told me that yes, they are trying again...5 mins after telling me I was everything to him and that he couldn't be without me... he said he's sorry (big of him!) said they will have to work on their sex issues (YES he actually told me that!!) but that they have 10years of history together... What I should also say is that he's recently been diagnosed with Bipolar...and isn't taking his meds... she does not believe in Mental illnesses.... Anyone else confused???

Don't think I could ever take him back, BUT would like to know does anybody think he's going to try to come back??? This is a guy who goes to the uk for 2 weeks and comes back after 3 days cos he cant stand being away from me...

Do you think their marriage will work this time?? Truely a little bewildered here!!

Whether he tries to come back or whether their marriage works isn't really of concern to you, because your relationship with him is over. You need to try to not care about that sort of thing; don't even waste your time thinking about it.

He's treated you very badly and doesn't deserve another second of your time - he clearly doesn't know what he wants and I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to crawl back - but you don't want him. I doubt if their marriage will work given that they have ongoing issues, but that's their problem. You're much better off without him, he sounds like trouble and he probably cheated on you too.
