forgiving someone

forgiving someone

who has treated you badly in the past because they did not like your personality, but now are nice to you because you have changed

would you, should you?

Not liking someone's personality is no excuse for being mean to them. It's fine to not like someone. If that's the case you just make the decision to not be around them. To associate with someone you don't like just to be mean to them is cruel.

It sounds like it's the other person who needed to change, not you.

Why would you want to bother with this person at all?

By the way, I don't really know what you mean by "they were mean." I'm assuming they were terrible, which may not be the case. This is the assumption my response is based on.
