When you are in a new relationship how often do you see eachother? I am trying to not come off as too needy or clingy, and I want us to have our own lifes.
I was just curious as to how other people do this.
We see eachother about 3 nights a week, which is a lot less than I saw my EXES.

well that depends on how long you have been together. has your relationship been progressing smoothly? or have you been together for years and years and not moving towards commitment?
Twice a week due to conflicting schedules, unless we go out of town together over the weekend...in which case it's more often.

Once a week unfortunatley. Its a fairly new relationship, we've been dating about two months and last night we made it 'official.' Anyways I don't think we'll be able to see each other much more than that because we both have children from previous relationships and work full time. Its difficult. I'd say we probably talk on the phone for a half an hour though every day or every other day which helps bridge the gap.
I'm pretty mellow when it comes to seeing each other in a new relationship. It's whatever works out. When I started dating my SO I was busy with a lot of things and so was he. Often we'd only plan a date for Friday, but it would end up lasting till Sunday evening I think that as long as both parties are equally interested and enthusiastic it doesn't matter. Some weeks you'll get to see each other 5 times, and sometimes once because that's how things work out.

It's been 3 nights a week since we started dating (bout a year). I have children so we have dates on the nights the kiddos are with their dad. I introduced him to the kids about 6 months into it so since then, we see each other about 4 nights a week, with the 4th night being dinner and movies and such with the kids.
For me and my man, when we first started dating, we saw eachother about 2 or 3 times in the week. But we became exclusive like two weeks later and and then it was more like 5 times. I always let him initiate time together at first unless i invited him to hang out where I would be with other mutual friends. Now, after 4 months, we are together every single day. Actually he stays the night at my place most nights. Sometimes I stay at his place. I guess it mostly depends on the chemistry you two have. But, i suggest if you want to see him more, then incorporate him into hanging out with groups of people. That way it isn't too intimate all the time but you still get to see him and you have the opportunity to build a friendship. Plus you get to see more of the real him as well and not just the him who is trying to impress you.
