People my I am in love with my best friend, but she is married and I have accepted that. Being friends with her is good enough, but something has happened. She is seperating from her husband, and is telling me that we cant be around each other for awhile, because people may take it as we were having an affair, and that is the reason for the split. What do I do? She is my best friend, she is my world.

Hi, I'm sorry for your pain. I would possibly repost in the OW/OM forum. There are many there that can offer support and advice to loving and being to committed to someone who is already in a committed relationship.

It means if you two are going to have a chance at a real relationship, you need to leave her alone to sort out her life. Let her BE alone while going through the divorce. Respect that and honour HER wishes of not seeing and talking to eachother. If you love her enough and want her in your life, you can wait longer until she is fully ready and single to pursue something with you.

If you continue to contact her after she's asked you not to, she may resent you later and end the friendship all together.

Obviously you are part of the reason why they are divorcing, her husband must know something...THAT is another reason to back off.
