Well, it is over. We parted ways, and actually he came up with the idea of seeing each other just as friends a few days after our last sexual encounter. It was a good idea because it reaffirms our friendship status. I miss him and I probably will for some time.

I am glad that this part of our relationship is over in some ways. I do know that I will not go down this path again. A one-night stand is one thing (even it has its problems), but fwb is too much for one person or the other. What I never realized (or maybe accepted) is that I always thought that my past fwb relationships worked when in reality they only worked for me. The guy always got hurt.
