LS wishlist

I never upgraded to premium, so I don't know what it's like for you supporting members, but here is my current LS wishlist. They're all just suggestions - but if you guys know if there is a way to change my parameters so that some of my wishes come true, please let me know.

I wish that LS would refresh the threads automatically when I am on the "newpost" page, much like my gmail accounts does.

I wish there was a quicker access to "see all previous threads started by member". I'd like it to be right into their avatars, much like see all posts is present there.

I wish that, when you look into the see all posts by so and so member, you could also see the name of the OP of the thread the member you are searching is responding too.

Edit. I wish "today's posts" was still available (alongside New posts) when I am registered. That way I can be a 100% sure I didn't miss a thing.

You can get "today's posts" by clicking on "Quick Links" on the menu bar across the top. It's the first link on the drop-down bar.

Sometimes all you need to make things happen is put them out there!

Ok, not to thread jack, but along the same lines : I will be really into somones original post, but when I search for them by user name under search, I can seldom find them, shouldn't they be right up top, chronologically or is there a better way to search ?

Click on the advanced search feature, which will appear when you click on the search feature. Once you've entered the advanced search feature, you can search by user name and key phrase, at the same time, or just by user name.

I'm kinda glad this isn't right on the surface because if someone who knew me stumbled onto my posts, I don't want them to have instant, user-friendly access to everything I've ever said. I would rather only experienced users can figure out how to see all my threads.

That's a good point. Maybe established members could have this function (in my ideal LS fantasyland).

In the same line of thought of quick and easy access : I wish we had access to member profiles when we look though the forums, you know, where it says created by, the same way we can click on the profile of the last person who responded.

I guess I want quicklinks to dig up people's past! Ah well, I'll do the necessary detours.

That's still there. It's under "Quick Links."

I wish when using the search feature it would include three-letter words.

Oh,

It would be nice if it had a "posts to me" button.

Like other forums have.

What I usually do is to go to my profile and seach for all my posts and then re-visit every thread to see of someone posted.

That's a lot of work.

(But I got used to it, this forum compensates for those things in other ways, like traffic and quality)

there is already something similar now.. you can find and read all of your posts on a particular thread by clicking the replies number box when viewing new posts.. that brings up a window showing all who has posted on the thread then you click the person total posts and only there posts show up that they posted on a thread..

To apply it to yourself you would just click your total posts on that thread to see all of your posts.

What I would like to see happen is, you have to be a member to click on a members username and look at their profile, not just a guest. Some other boards allow you to read posts, but not look at people's profiles UNTIL you join.

Ah,

I didn't know you could click in the number of posts link and get that. Pretty cool.

But still, I'd have to remember every single thread I posted just to find my name.

It's easier to search on my posts.

Thanks (not paul)
