I had a PM where someone directed me to contact them via PM. However, at the end of their message they told me not to bother responding to them because they put me on ignore.

I thought ignore meant they would not see any comments I ever post or receive any PM's I may send. (even though they initially directed me to PM them)

However, they directly responded on a thread specifically about my words I had posted. Now I'm really confused. Help!

Sorry I can't offer you any words of wisdom 'cause if someone asked me to PM them and then in the same breath said not to bother 'cause they put me on ignore, I'd be confused also. Strange.

You are correct about what ignore means, but they still do have the option of viewing your posts

Is there only one way to add someone to the Ignore list? I know I can do it by going to Control Panel and manually typing in someone's user name to the list.

But, I'd love it if there were a link under the poster's name in a thread that says "Add to Ignore list". I've been on forums where that link is a drop-down from the user name, just like "send a PM", etc.

Do we have a link like that and I'm just not seeing it?
