role reversal

from my experience (on the outside looking into other relationships, as i've never experienced this myself) as well as reading online or in magazines and a topic on many TV shows/movies is that a number one complaint among a large number of men is their SO's unwillingness/inability to maintain their own separate life; keeping their own friends, or allowing him to do things w/o her (boys night, etc) and that leads to fights in the R and usually to breaking up, b/c he needs his space, and she's too clingy.

my boyfriend was the opposite. he rarely saw his own friends and hated taking time apart to do our own things.

i know everyone is different, but any thoughts?
