is he interested or just very friendly?

so, I met someone at a work conference a few weeks ago and I was very interested, it being work I just sort of chilled about it. I took the initiative and emailed him a thank you for some information that he gave me and he responded to my email. we have now been emailing regularly for a few weeks now, about both work, the conference, people we have in common and lots of other general sorts of things, a few emails a week. I know that he is busy, so am I. he has my number, I have his, I am just not sure how to read the whole thing though, I haven't called and neither has he. Is there signs I should look for? Is he testing out the potential waters, or just being really friendly and nice? I don't know. help!My friends say to just leave it be and see what happens. Jumping the gun with a man who is just not sure has gotten me in trouble before, ie scared him off. some men are big scardey cats and I can come off as very scary to men, but come on.

He is not interested enough.
Or he is afraid to make a move.

If it is the latter, you can push him over the edge by taking an initiative yourself, but I doubt you want to take a risk of rejection or the risk of dating a coward. When you two are emailing , he would make a move (invitation) already.

Bottom line: Not interested or pussy.

To make him more interested, you can send him photos of you in lingerie. If you willing to make that risk. I dont recomend it though.

It may very well be he is hesitant to make the first move, or phone. Some people are like that. This can be true, especially if you are a successful professional woman. Some men can find that intimidating and admirable all at the same time.

Listen to your friends. Just sit tight and wait for him to make a move and don't just wait around for him either. Do not get too deep into liking him -- he may not be interested or he may lack confidence to the point that he has to build himself up over time just to be able to say "hey do you want to go get some coffee" or whatever.

And if he is that insecure -- there are bad things ahead. He could get really clingy and needy (bad) or really controlling because of his insecurity (very bad), etc.

Just keep in mind that if he doesn't make a move it isn't your problem, it is his, and move on to another guy. There are PLENTY out there.
