If you have a LoveShack user name or member name that's out of the ordinary but one that other people, particularly friends, relatives or associates away from the site, know you use, PLEASE UNDERSTAND that every post at LoveShack goes into Google and other search engines. All people have to do is enter the user name or member name that they know you use on the Internet and they may find personal information and circumstances which you have posted on LoveShack. Usually, the post will have enough information familiar to them to positively identify you as the poster.
BEFORE YOU POST ANY PERSONAL OR CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION ABOUT YOURSELF on LoveShack, be very sure you are using a member or user name that NOBODY BUT YOU knows. That is, if you don't want people who know the name you go by to be aware of the nature of your LoveShack posts.

Just out of curosity (if you know the answer to my question) how far back will google search a member's username? For example if a poster was here about 2 or 3 years ago, but is gone now, would their old posts from that far back still show up on google?
as long as its able to be viewed they can google search it. So if you say wrote im giving a speech about smelly 4th graders in class tomorow and some one was trying to do research on smelly 4th graders they might come upon your post and figure out your the horniest man alive and that you didnt feel sorry for the VT shooter and that your actualy into fisting...
My user name is well known by my friends and family. I post an actual photo in my profile. I dis my friends, family, children, and BF, when they deserve it.
Still, I haven't said a thing that I wouldn't or haven't (in most cases) say right to their face.
Privacy is great, but honesty is even better.

I just Googled my own name and found posts of mine as far back as 2000. So, they do go back quite a ways. On Google, you may just come up with one post. But if you click on "More results" you get tons of responses by the name you Googled.
Very good point, Tony. That's the main reason why I changed my name. I'm still worried about friends finding my old name's stuff...but then again, that's all old news now.
Funny though. Everytime I date a new guy, I Google the crap out of his name, screen names, IM names, etc. It's AMAZING the things you'll find....

The bottom of page three states there are several results similar to what have been shown and there is a blue link within that sentence that I had to click to get to the other 20 some odd pages. I'm convinced that everything I've ever said is there. Google my real name and you get nothing. I've tried.

I see it, but it is in the middle of page one for me. The recent "fat" thread popped up under google search.

Go to page three. There are very few hits, but look for the blue link sentence about more results at the bottom of the page, then you will see pages and pages of almost nothing but my posts.
I googled my name and found nothing, except for the obvious.
Sorry, Riddler. Go back to Google, enter "LoveShack The Riddler" and there are hundreds of your posts. Some are right there, others you can access by clicking on "other results."
