Sounds like you're in quite a similar situation to me, except with me we're on different sides of the Atlantic. Personally I think that the way you have met is one of the truest and purest forms of attraction. You have to rely on conversation and the sound of each others voices to perpetuate the relationship.
You know, therefore, that you already have enough in common mentally to want to continue talking. You've already asked yourself the billion dollar questions...

...and unfortunately you have no way of knowing until you meet. There are also compatibility issues that you will need to address.
In my case we played everything down (probably where you are right now). I think it's important to not get carried away too soon. If you still both feel the same way in a couple more months, then why not make plans to meet. If you do, though, always remember that the chances of it working out for you are slim. As such do everything you can to not place too much false hope in your relationship.
