Having your personal moderator to edit your posts....
There are several members, one fairly new one, who continually ask for words, sentences and/or paragraphs to be modified or deleted in their posts. LoveShack.org does not have the personnel or resources to provide personal editors to members.
Before you post, give some thought to what you have written. Think about the consequences. You're going to have to live with what you write unless life or property is in jeopardy.
Please refrain from asking for personal editing. An occasional request is welcomed and respected but when they come a number of times each day it becomes totally unacceptable.
These requests for personal editing will not be honored.
Thank you for your kind cooperation in thinking carefully before you post.
Can you come to my house and be my personal speech editor? I never thought of this, but what a great service!
I have this bad habit of blurting things out. Maybe if I focus, I could make thought bubbles appear above my head before I speak and you could edit as appropriate.
And when I yell at my kids, you could turn the volume down just in time.
Just kidding. Thanks for doing such a great job on LS.
I've edited some of my post, mainly to correct spelling mistakes lol,but is the editing feature on the toolbar,is this what you're talking about?...I used it about 3 times. You mean some people ask directly to edit their post?
Too bad there isn't an LS editor for paragraphs. I get intimidated by 1000 words which are strung together with no paragraphs and worse yet, no sentence breaks...

You get intimidated, they get an infraction. I'm not sure whether it's lack of consideration or lack of writing skills that causes people to do this. And once you've got someone past the paragraph issue, spelling and grammar becomes a whole other matter.
I never bother reading those big blobs of type. I have more respect for my eyes.

You give people infractions for poor sentence structure? WOW, that is kind of harsh.
I mean I tend to ignore those long posts as well. But maybe if the editing time was lengthened it might help. But as soon as someone posts about the lack of paragraphs, it automatically locks the poster from editing their post.
Seems, like the policy is creating the additional work for the mods just as equally as the people who are requesting the edit!
You give people infractions for poor sentence structure?
No, not at all. We don't hold poor education, laziness or lack of consideration against anyone. Those are not against the guidelines. However, if someone posts a giant blob of gray type that seems to go on forever they do get an infraction.
As far as people requesting edits, there is one new member who made such a request yesterday for six or seven posts. We don't honor those from anybody unless there can be shown a reason why not doing so could put someone's life or property in jeopardy or threaten the security of the free world.
The reason I started this thread was simply to ask people to give a LOT of thought before they put personal, identifying information in posts and press the button to publish. And they should give great thought to other content as well. Too many people operate on automatic pilot with regard to posting, which is fine in some areas, but what people write can be sensitive and hurt them or others if worded improperly or if it helps others to identify them.
