How much should i be running in a week?

How much should i be running in a week?

I am in the process of gaining weight ( mainly muscle ). I use to run 3 miles a day but now i run maybe 1 mile once a week and the rest is weight training. I was told that running 3 miles a day is not good for building muscle..but is one mile a week good enough?
