My grandfather lost his eye in Pearl Harbor (he was one of the original survivors). Since then he always wore a patch. I mean for 60+ years of his life... oh and glasses. His vision was ok, but I think he wanted to protect the one eye he had left so he always wore glasses.
I don't know if you've ever worn one, or considered one for cosmetic purposes. Daryll Hannah looked friggin hot in Kill Bill with an eye patch. I dunno, just thinking out loud. I hope you don't find it offensive.

I think you're a very pretty girl, and have a fabulous personality to boot.

well i have an image to up hold...and plus i would feel weird going out with a girl wearing an eye patch. if she had a cast on her leg that would be ok i guess, or even if she was wearing a wig i wouldn't care. but the whole eye patch thing creeps me out. i don't know why.
I would date a hot girl with an eye patch and I don't care who says what. That's stupid. I mean, what happened if the love of your life wound up in a wheelchair? Would you kick her to the curb because of what the guys might say? I guess you and I are simply at different stages in life. I value people for what they can offer me, not for what they make me look like.

Youre asking Alpha male this? Of course he'd kick her to the curb.
He'd put a flag on the wheelchair, attach a chain to a passing semi, and scream Auf Wiedersehen.

I admire your strength of character too, OP. You have to weigh the costs and benefits with surgery. If there's a potential for the improvement to be dramatic I would go for it. I used to advice people on plastic surgery as a side job, so I know a bit about the field. A doctor who would be great for this type of procedure is Dr. Michael Yaremchuk in Boston. Check him out if you haven't already. He's a plastic surgeon so he has more of an aesthetic eye, but he's done a lot of work on skeletal deformities -- particularly related to the eye area. Take a look at his site. Definitely shop around and don't listen to one doctor's opinion! That guy sounds like an arse.
motive2002 thanks for the suggestion. Im not offended!!! Not sure i could quite go for it though. Though in the future I may move somewhere rather sunny so I'd have to wear big sunglasses alot or develop a very long shaggy fringe type 'do...
Shadowplay - thanks for the tip! He'll be googled!

Here's the section of his site where he deals with cranial-orbital deformities. http://www.dryaremchuk.com/english/c...s-surgery.html
I would guess he would build up your right eye socket with orbital rim implants to give your right eye more support. That's just my layman's guess, but book an appointment with him if you can.
