It doesn't have to be a confrontation - just a simple question. I imagine a confrontation to be more like the other person has done something WRONG. You don't know that, yet. It
could be innocent. Won't know until you ask. The longer you wait, though, the more it'll build up in your mind into something it quite possibly ISN'T.
