My wife's wedding band cost $75.00, mine cost nothing, I had a small white gold piece, that I worked into a ring. We had no money for frivilous things, and a baby on the way. After we had been married for 4 years and I had begun making money I bought her a nice one. $26,000- 26,500 or so. she wears the $75.00 special.. I had worn my homemade one, but broke my finger. It swelled up like a balloon, but I would not allow them to cut it off, untill my finger began to have blood poisoning. I will never wear another, besides that one..

We just got engaged on July 18, and our wedding is December 6 of this year (4 weeks!! ) My wedding ring set cost nearly $2000 out the door, and my fiance's band cost $350.
