This is a true story, and it's absolutely insane ... I don't want to give ANYTHING away ... you will be shocked and amazed ... ... After you have watched it ... let's continue the discussion! I downloaded it onto my computer from Netflix -- I am trying to cheer myself up, and stumbled across it .. .well, it's definitely changed my prospective ... Hope to hear back! I tried to download a torrent the other night and signed up for some weird site that ended up hooking me onto a some porn site instead it was a total nightmare!! Author biffster Posted June 2, 2008 Author Share Posted June 2, 2008 Hi Tomcat, I totally recommend Netflik's ... if you sign up now, they give you a free trial period ... it's only $5.00 a month, depending on which package you get ... and they have a pretty wide selection ... indi and foreign films too ... ... the movie "Crazy Love" was excellent ... don't know if you know the whole story, and I don't want to give anything away ... it really put me in a much better mood about my situation, and really made me feel great about my decision to end things with MM! I am so happy that I made the right decision ... made me feel so good I actually have a brand new outlook for tomorrow ... I have been depressed since Thursday about the sitch ... kept putting off organizing my apartment and going to the gym ... to get ready for this week ... ever feel that way? You are in the process of moving forward, but you get stuck in a funk, even though you have taken the right actions? Well, this movie lit a fire right under my butt ... now I am really ready to start fresh tomorrow .. will get a good night's sleep ... and just take one day at a time ... .... She totally cut off the A, when she found out he was married ... completely went on with her life and did all the right things ... ... even ended up really moving forward and finding someone else ... UNTIL ... This movie scared the Sh*T out of me ... shows the extreme consequence of being involved with an MM ... and how even after the affair ... when you want nothing to do with it or him (seriously) ... how "things" can happen that will negativley change the course/direction of your life .. and who you fundamentally are as a person ... forever!!! ... so, there is no psycho OW ... and it is totally a true story ... it is insane ... and will force you forever to steer clear of any MM and not get entanlged at all ... see, once she is in over her head (realizes he is married and doesn't want this) ... she is totally in control of her life ... but, it's too late!!!! I post here because I am healing from a situation that I got myself involved with ... ... I post here because the situation depleted me, and made me feel very stressed out and anxious and was hurtful to my self esteem ... I made a mistake, not because I believe I did something immoral that I should go to hell for ... but because I DID NOT listen to my inner voice, and engaged in an activity or affair that caused me great pain ... .. my purpose is one of healing, and to learn more about what I did through the experiences of others ... My entire point is this: If anyone is ever in a situation that causes them great anxiety or stress (including engaging in an affair - doesn't matter what the situation is) ... it is up to them to rid themselves of the anxiety producing situation if they want to start feeling happy again .... or at least in control of their own lives ... ... often being in an affairs eventualy drains ones self esteem ... not for all people, because everyone is different ... sometimes when we are in one, we lose sight of the fact that we are in control of our own happiness and destiny ... it is very easy to do this!!! And, before you know it, we are in over our heads with seemingly no way out! Forget about the guilt, moral wrongness ... etc... that is not what I am talking about ... ... I am talking about the damage and pain we ultimately cause ourselves when we don't listen to our own inner voice and succumb and forfeit our happiness to the choices of others, for which we have no control .... ... Anyway ... I am curious to hear what you think my purpose here is ... it is one of recovery, and trying to stay on a path that will make me feel happy ... regardless of what the path is ... everyone's situation is different. Author biffster Posted June 2, 2008 Author Share Posted June 2, 2008 Oh, my point re: the movie is this - being in control of your own life and destiny is a gift, which should be appreciated ... the film highlights that, because despite this woman's greatest efforts, and through no fault of her own .. she was literally denied that gift (which is really unfortunate) ... movie just highlights the fact that this is not a gift that should be overlooked ... and if anyone ever finds themselves in a situation which is causing them pain ... then, recognizing the gift that you are in control of your own life/happiness, etc ... will help you steer the waters in the direction that will create the most happiness and fulfillment in your own life... and, it will also help you to realize that no situation can every define you because you are in control - that's all.... I wanted to share a story of my own. When I reconnected with my lost love (MM) my friend was so excited for me it got her to thinking about her lost love. I'm sure we all have one. So, she contacted him, he was so happy and called her all the time. They planned to meet as they then lived on opposites sides of the country. He wanted her to marry him it got that serious over the phone. What he neglected to mention was that he had a live in girlfriend. These people are in their 50's. He was her old flame when she was a teenager. Anyway they kept in touch for months and finally his girlfriend caught on and she stabbed him in the chest. He didn't die right away but he did die not long after. My girlfriend would have got worse if she made the trip out to see him and she was going to just before this happened. They weren't married but lived together for over 15 years. He told my friend she was just a lady that visited him once in a while. Scary stuff and totally unexpected. I am not sure Linda married for love. She was alone, destitute, scarred for life and nearly blind. She saw him as the only man who would have her. He continued with his affairs and psycho behaviour even after having served 14-years in prison for what he did to Linda. He was arrested, charged and arraigned in 1996 for threatening another mistress. The jury in his trial (held in 1997) acquitted him of the most serious charges only finding him guilty of a misdemeanor. I doubt this is the last time we hear of this pair even though he is 81- and she is 71-years of age. Link to post Share on other sites
