You are invited to participate in a research study designed to explore potential differences in personality and emotional processing between individuals who have multiple sexual partners. The study is being conducted by Ann Marie DelSignore, B.S., Doctoral Candidate, under the direction of Annette Kluck, Ph.D., Associate Professor/Faculty Advisor, in the Auburn University Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling. You were selected as a possible participant because you currently have multiple sexual partners and are age 19 years or older.

Your participation is completely voluntary. If you decide to participate in this research study, you will be asked to complete an online survey. Your total time commitment will be approximately 30 - 45 minutes.

To minimize these risks, we will provide you with information to access local medical and mental healthcare providers. Additionally, the survey website will not collect the URL or e-mail addresses of the participants.

There will be no direct costs, benefits or compensation for your participation. Your participation, however, could potentially help others, including the field of psychology, gain a better understanding attributes of people who prefer and/or choose to have multiple sexual partners.

If you change your mind about participating, you can withdraw at any time by closing your browser window. Once you’ve submitted anonymous data, it cannot be withdrawn since it will be unidentifiable. Your decision about whether or not to participate or to stop participating will not jeopardize your future relations with Auburn University or the Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling.
