Day After Valentine's Day

Can you explain to me why a guy would get me flowers at least once a month (if not more) and nothing on Valentine's Day?

No, but I'll give it a try - maybe he just thinks the whole Valentine's Day thing is bogus, over inflated & only designed to make you spend money.

Did you get nothing at all yesterday?

Of course you realise that it is his behaviour & actions on the 364 other days of the year that are more important?

Some people are thoughtful and generous but just aren't interested in the hoopla of Valentine's Day, Christmas, birthdays. It's really not an issue.

I didn't get anything for Christmas. What I got was what requested "time with him (and his children and brothers)".

I didn't think I was going to get anything for Valentines Day because he emphasized how much he doesn't like Valentine's Day yet I got a gift..

Who the hell knows why men do what they do. They are strange creatures. One moment we can figure them out and the next they befuddle us.

I'm sure they say the same thing about us...

my parents never 'do' valentines day, they say that they show eachother how much they love eachother everday throughout the year rather than just on valentines day....

but so do me and my boyfriend...we're a very romantic pair and we still did the whole valentines day thing but thats because we never have any money to spend on eachother and its something to save some pennies for and surprise eachother

i wouldnt worry about it too much if i were you it sounds like hes very much in love with you....even though it'd be nice to get flowers on valentines day lol

Hah i wasn't going to get anything for some girl i was mildly interested in but I had a better idea. And I will tell you why hopefully you will get a better insight into men's minds (I feel like I'm selling mankind out).

I simply took one rose and an acronym we have for each other (CCAST4L stands for Cold cappa and Sweet thang 4 Life, its a long story, its our nicknames and crap), and taped a piece of paper that said CCAST4L onto the rose onto her front door, walked down the block out of sight, called her and said, "Look on your front door, I've gotta run talk to you later", and hung up.

What I did there was show her I thought about her. Didn't feed into the commercialism (didn't run into school with 2 dozen roses, 4 boxes of chocolates, a diamond ring and a new convertible), and I KNOW that the one rose and that one acronym stands out a HELLUVA lot more than the 2 dozen roses many guys are getting, because they are too CLICHE, EXPECTED, etc. I made her think I forgot (I did this at night) about her, and did something that I can guarantee she has never had done in her life before.

Maybe he didn't get you anything, but personally doing something like this on a RANDOM day and leaving a note on her door at maybe 10 o clock that says, "Thinking about you." And giving her a call to check her door gives a sense of mystery, ROMANCE (romance isn't just doing something because its a holiday), chivalry, and communicates all the right things.

Thats why, feeding into Valentine's day commercialism is terrible if you can't find an interesting, attractive way to do it, so maybe he just felt that it would be better off left undone.

I got nothing/saw no one for Valentine's Day and was miserable... and then today Dirk showed up with a rose, and Vince showed up with a teddy bear. Better late than never, I suppose.

Still no word from Steve. :(

To the OP, if he gets you flowers regularly anyway, then stop reading into it. He's already proven he cares about you.

Yeah, I agree, I send a card ass wel (without a stamp:eek: , well see the thread about that). The only reason to do that is showing the girl you were thinking about her. Just showing some interest.
