Chuff
I'm having work done on my home, and one of the workmen suggested this morning that we should go mountain biking sometime. I have no interest in this man, friendship or otherwise. What is the kindest way to respond without leaving the door open, like saying, "We'll see," or something equally as vague? smackie9
A simple "sorry no, not interested" would be suffice. He's working on your home....how unprofessional he is being hitting on a client. You owe him no courtesy.
Highndry
"I'm sorry, I have a boyfriend." I recall one time many, many years ago I was doing some work on a woman's house. She called me after it was done and at first I was concerned there was a problem. Then she asked me to a concert that weekend. I politely declined, saying my girlfriend wouldn't approve. I didn't have one at the time, but it was the easiest way. I was not even remotely attracted to her. Edited October 17, 2017 by Highndry

olivetree
"Sorry, I don't fraternize with the help!" Just kidding. Curious, if he has already asked you, you must've already said something. Or did you tell him to hold on while you post on Loveshack?

kendahke
"No. You're here to fix (whatever)." Or better still, hand him the payment for the work done, thank him and show him the door without answering. Edited October 17, 2017 by kendahke

He was upstairs working on my steps, and I was downstairs grabbing stuff to get out the door ASAP. I ignored it. Actually, I froze. lol He continued to talk, so I didn't have to respond. Author Chuff
Better check your underwear drawer later. HAHAHA!!! omg! I've put away a lot of stuff out of sight, just in case, but didn't even think about my "delicates"! :lmao: No worries, though. I keep the old, ugly, cotton ones on top.

snowboy91
"I'm sorry, I have a boyfriend." Agree that this is the "kindest" way. But hitting on a client is not OK, and therefore there is no need to be "kind" here. I feel the "right" way here is a "no, not interested" in a niceish tone.
