nadzz
Hey everyone, So I have been with my boyfriend for about five months now and I have to leave the country for a month to go visit my family. I don't know what to expect because I'm going from seeing him all the time to not seeing him at all for an entire month. Have any of you spent time away from your partner, if so, did it help or help in destroying your relationship?? Thanks in advance!

d0nnivain
It's a month, 30 days, not the rest of your life. Technology makes it very easy to stay connected. This is hardly an unsurmountable problem. If your relationship can't survive this, it wasn't a very solid to begin with. While I lived with someone he went on a month long trip with his dad. The dad had booked it for him & the mom but the mom passed away so my SO went with his dad. I enjoyed all post cards. We didn't have any phone calls because international calling didn't really exist at an affordable price point & technology wasn't at the point it is now. I missed him but there was no damage to our relationship. There wasn't even an issue that this separation would do any harm.
