Gaeta
For some reasons I only have old pj's. Mostly boxers and tank tops that don't even match. When boyfriend is here, I wear to bed panties with tank top and boxers t-shirts when I get up. Winter here. My old mixed match pj's have become a joke between him and I. I tell him ' I am so sorry I have nothing sexy for you '. He always replies: 'you're sexy in everything you wear'. On one occasion he mentioned he liked nice lingerie. I said I was gonna get something really nice when I have time. He said No, he found me in my old pj's he keeps me in my old pj's!. SO Valentine's day arrives. Guess what I did? Yes I went shopping and got 2 very sexy nighties, the Victoria's Secret type. On Valentine evening I put one on. When he sees me he says: OH that's very nice! You got this for me?? He kind of look at me not knowing what to do then he turns around AND TURNS THE LIGHTS OFF!! We NEVER had sex the lights off, lol !! Thoughts?

xxoo
Maybe he was being honest, and prefers the casual look. The sexiest thing I can put on for my guy is a tight cotton tank with no bra. He finds that much, much sexier than anything from VS. The VS stuff doesn't hit his buttons at all.
Popsicle
Some guys don't really understand sexy lingerie (dummies...lol!). Anyways, if you like wearing it, just keep doing it.
losangelena
Haha! Well, goes to show, you never know. I wouldn't read too much into it, other than yeah, maybe that's not his thing. I think lingerie can be fun to look at, but I'd be willing to bet that some men might get a tad intimidated at the thought of having to take it off (if it's convoluted) or that they might tear it if things get a little rough. That s**t ain't cheap! I had a pair of pajama pants that were way too long for my legs and they'd puddle on the floor. My ex would never not make fun of those. However, I think what he liked best was a casual bandeau-top dress that I would wear around the apartment braless. It showed plenty of skin while still being a little feminine and also casual. It was also very easy to take off.
kendahke
perhaps he felt underdressed?
Author Gaeta
He mentionned he liked sexy lingerie. l may have gotten the wrong type of lingerie... I must have been really off chart for him to shuts the lights lol. Darn and l got 2 of the same kind !

jen1447
I think he was probably just going w/the flow Gae. It's not like he's gonna get turned on and just stare at you. He probably just did the "wow" thing and then it was time to get down to business. Sometimes that's all sexy is. Guys are usually pretty simple. More important thing is it made you feel good - happiness is contagious and all that.

PogoStick
From a practical point, sexy sleepwear doesn't make much sense as you pointed out, you pull up the covers and turn off the lights. However, sexy morning wear, or evening wear, as you're making food and running around the house gives me time to admire the view. How about changing into the nighties 2 hours before bed?

katiegrl
I have an idea. Since he clearly finds you so hot in just your panties and tank, purchase more of those. New things ...and toss out the old. Sexy nighties go back in the drawer, at the bottom. None of my bf's were into those lacy VS's garb. Panties, tee, even his big ole shirts! Or nothing at all!!!!
RecentChange
Yeah who knows what the reason for the light off was. Ask him what he likes, for example my dude isn't into nighties, but loses his mind over thigh highs and a nice garter belt. As for sexier but yet casual evening / around the house wear, I like spending the evening in a very light weight V neck T shirt - I have these ones that must be desined for layering, because they are totally see through! So see through, snug top, some cute yoga pants / tights - casual for me, but still gives him a show Then the top and cute panties for sleeping - or nude
Toodaloo
He was probably hoping you would both be too tired to get up after to turn the lights off so was being practical...
katiegrl
It could be anything really ..but it's also possible in the past, he had a habit of viewing porn and/or pics of women in sexy lingerie .....and when he saw you in the lingerie, you brought back a negative experience or negative image .... Since he *sees* you as more *pure* or more virtuous than those women. So he avoided that image by turning the lights off and picturing you in your panties and tee instead! Which again, he clearly finds hot! And it's *you*. Not some image in a fake pic. Just a thought. Edited February 18, 2016 by katiegrl

Lucky him I am not big on make-up. And said he likes the looks of a woman when she wakes up in the morning when she is the most natural. I should have made the connection that his idea of a sexy lingerie was not a lace see-thru corsage but something more classy. I'll keep the sexy corsage for house chores lol

No idea if he works like I do, but there are 2 types of sexy bed wear, imo. #1) Full on stripper clothes (not Victoria's Secret... that stuff is granny/boring) or... #2 Your old pajamas and nightgowns. #1 evokes over the top, mind blowing sensuality and makes you feel like you're with a super [hot] chick. Awesome stuff. #2 Evokes feelings of an innocent type girl. One you feel kind of lucky to be getting anywhere with. One that's your own personal sex object. One you are corrupting. One that's cute and innocent until you have your way with her. Also awesome stuff. Both are a huge turn on. Victoria's Secret is pretty much a turn off. The cuts and material are all wrong. Get lingerie where strippers shop. Or be the cute girl. In between isn't a big turn on. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of women don't know this. carhill
Hmm, been down this road and, oddly, our change-up was turning the lights off to provide a bit of mystery. Of course, that was after years of marriage. IMO, the lingerie stuff is to be seen, as well as felt, as feel is important too. Most of the time it didn't make it to the floor, sometimes not even to the bed. Heh. I get the thrust of his comment about you being sexy in everything you wear; that makes sense from a guy's standpoint. However, long-term, it's also about how sexy you feel, and what you wear and your appearance can play into it and also feed off of his reactions. IME, it's a synergistic event and works both ways, not just the lady ticking the man's eyeballs. BTW, I generally bought exW's bedroom attire, with a few exceptions. Anyway, nice sample. Have fun!

loveweary11
I don't have the shape of the model in my picture. I'm petite, flat stomach and DD cups. I filled that nightie. It's very hard to know for sure how it hangs off you, but that material doesn't look too stretchy and the overall cut is boxy, even if you filled it. Look at the sides where "love handles" would be. Is it absolutely skin tight there or does it just drape down from the boobs/34-36 measurement area to meet the hips? It should fit like the pic I linked to. Almost painted on. This accentuates your probably stellar bust to waist ratio. Victoria's Secret always gets the cut wrong, ime. But I don't want to argue or debate. I'm just trying to help because the vast majority of women do have some difficulty in selecting lingerie that really gets a guy going. If you aren't liking my advice, Carhill has good advice too.... taking your man shopping with you. Edited February 19, 2016 by loveweary11
Author Gaeta
I am open to all advice. I can see where this was not the best of choice. Lets say I wanted to try something more 'classy'. You have suggestions?
