BitterSweet4
My best friend and i are both in highschool she is a year younger. For a while she has been changing into someone i don't like. She has gotten into drugs and i can't stop her. I didn't know how bad it was because she was in the middle school and i was in my first year of highschool but now that we are both in the same school i have realized that she is becoming a dirtbag and im not the only one who realizes it. Many of my friends are asking me what happened to her. I tried to tell her to stop numerous times but she keeps saying that it takes time. She doesnt even try. Im worried that im going to loose her to a substance.
superconductor
It's hurtful to see people that you care about destroy themselves like this, but in the final analysis you can't really do anything. Besides, you're not her therapist.
Jane Doe
You need to try to get her some help but if she's unwilling to help herself, you need to back away, lest you get drawn into the same thing. Not all friends are put in your life to last forever. Many are for only a short season. The older you get the more you'll experience this. I've had friends I thought would be my friends forever. Now I don't even know where they live. It's life.
