Hello! A kind-of-friend of mine is clearly going through a manic episode (not diagnosed, but she has ALL the symptoms). One of my friends says she has never seen mania develop so fast.

We are all very worried about her, and have each talked to the school multiple times.

We won't be able to get through to the girl as she thinks that she is finally out of the depression and that we will just wanna pull her back. She also isn't very reasonable right now.

We are worried she will crash horribly.

What would the next course of action be?

So you've told the counselor at school and they haven't done anything, or is it more likely they did contact her parents or are talking to her herself but cannot share that info with you because it would be unethical?

If you truly believe they've done nothing, then tell your parents (or someone's parents, which ever ones seem to be the most smart) the situation and see if they're willing to make a call to the counselor or the girl's parents. If the girl is a teen, you can't be sure she's bipolar because honestly, MOST teens mimic those symptoms because they are hormonal and their lives are packed with drama. But if her actions get really strange, keep trying to reach her parents or a counselor. You could tell the teachers too and see if together they can pressure someone to do something.
