Lost my friends

I used to be this cheery friendly kind of girl. I used to have a lot of friends. Until something happened in high school, I didnt do anything bad, it's just because I did a little missed communication to my 2 friends and the others just beginning to start hating me too. I dont know what to do now, its like i dont have any friends left except my 2 best friends. But I cant meet them 2 often because they have their own life too.. I still talk with my other friends like normal because I had finished the problems but theyre not as close to me as usual. Now I dont know who my friends are, I dont know who to ask if i wanna hang out.. Im not that miserable, I have friends, but I just dont know who to depend on anymore.... Its like the older I get, the more people just get out from my life... Help?

I do not have ANY friends at all from my school days.

In fact, I don't have any of the friends I had 10 years ago.

Things change, people come and go.

Don't get stuck in mourning for the past and what you've 'lost'.

Move on and get out, socialise, mix, and find a new social circle. And be aware that even this one will be different too, in a couple of years' time.

What TaraMaiden said.

Life takes you in different directions and its easy to lose contact with old friends. One just needs to keep bringing in new blood - so to speak.

I wouldn't worry about it, its life. Think of all the interesting people you haven't met yet who will become your friend in the future - go out and start meeting some of them :)

Thank you for your reply, it really does make me much better :) But the problem is, because of what's happening to my friendship in highschool, I just cant be who I am to my friends. I feel insecure of being not good.. So now I feel like everyone just dont like me. And every circle I go I get to meet my old friends, if you know what I mean.

It probably seems like your school friends are the best friends and maybe even the only friends you'll make - but believe me, high school ends and everyone gets pretty much cast to the four winds. I kept in contact with my closest school buddies for only about a year after leaving - we all went our separate ways and made lives ... thats just how it is.

Now, those I know about, are spread across the country and across the world. Kind, fun, loving and interesting people are everywhere thankfully, and you can't help but bump into a few of them from time to time. Just be open enough to recognise them when that happens.
