Old Best Friend

Had a childhood friend & we grew up together. After 9 yrs & us working together things became strained. He became my boss at work & in life, which sucked. We stopped talking for 7 yrs & then began again.

 

Over the past few yrs he's kept saying he wishes he could help me get a job with his company. He makes like 90k annually without a degree. I pursued the college route. He promised me a job & said it'd take a month. A month comes around & he backs out of it. He could get me something which would pay more than what I'd make with a degree but he just won't. I've backed away from him now, some say leave him alone for good.
