WP4046 Posted August 23, 2013 Share Posted August 23, 2013 Hello everyone Just wondering if anyone else who has been laid off 2 or 3 times in the past 3 years feel they are still a little fragile mentally and always think your current job is about to end? I just completed my 9th month at my current job but sometimes i get nervous when management has meetings aside from the regular ones. And I think all of this is because I have not been employed 5 straight years since 2003 to 2008. So it will probably take a while for me to stop feeling this way. One thing I can say is I am no longer in non-profit and was able to get a city government job so I don't have to worry about funding issues. But has any other unemployed person felt this way? Even yesterday when someone told me the boss wanted me I ran to the office right away because I was hoping it was something bad and she just want to give me something so I could contact someone.
