Love or Money

I was inspired by a post by StarGazer and by a friend of mine in a situation.

You have a job you like. You have been their for several years and are good at it and make excellent money because of it, but generally it physically and mentally wears you out.
A job opportunity comes up for something that you have wanted to do all your life.
The pay is WAY less than what you make at your current job, but could possibly see yourself doing this job for the rest of your life.

Do you take the new job, knowing it will hurt allot financally, or do you stay with your current job and hope it gets less draining?

  1. First, you look to your existing job and decide if you can remold it to the specs that would satisfy you. If the answer is no, go to the next step.
  2. You look at your financial situation and decide if you can afford to make the change. If the answer is yes, go to the next step.
  3. You accept the new job.

Thanks TBF

She has been trying to make the best of the job, but without major changes in the way the company does business, their doesn't seem to be much hope for a good change any time soon.

At the moment, the financial thing is pretty much the main reason she is still their.
