Anyone who lift weights ever heard of this? My boyfriend says.....

Hi
Ok I get in to it..
My boyfriend lift heavy weights and work out a lot ever since he was teen...he is 53 years old and still looks pretty awesome and healthy.

He has no problem with sex part but he truly believe that using sex pills like Viagra help him get even more muscles and help with blood circulation ....I do believe blood circulation but help build muscles?
I don't think so.
He has been using that for a long time.
I told him it's not safe and shouldn't use it everyday but he say he been using it for 20 years and he really believe it helps build more muscles.......
He takes it 1 or 2 everyday....no we do not have sex everyday only 1 or 2 times week.
What you guys think?

It's true.

Viagra is a vasodilator. I've never used Viagra, but I use l-arginine and l-citrulline for the same reason. As an added benefit, they similarly impact libido, erections, and so forth.

You've probably also heard of creatine. Used for a similar reason.

It's common among ... some ... bodybuilders.

Yeah, Viagra helps in lifting. It is even considered a performance enhancing substance for many sports. Increased blood flow to muscles will provide extra strength. More strength means you can lift more, thus increasing gains from your workout. There are other supplements I would recommend he take in place of the Viagra that would be cheaper, have fewer side effects, and work better.

One thing to keep in mind is that Viagra, like most drugs, loses its potency over time. Your guy has likely built up a tolerance to it now. If he keeps taking it to help with working out, it likely will not help him if he needs it for sexual health later on.

Hmmm.....I am not 100% certain, but pretty sure some of the ingredients in certain supplements are not safe to be taken along with Viagra. I would not take a pre-workout drink after taking a Viagra, for example.

Viagra does not cause an erection, you still have to be stimulated. For me, it did make erections happen much easier, so just seeing a pretty girl in yoga pants at the gym would give me an erection like a steel rod. True story.

Lol.
I guess it could happen to a lot of guys and even without the pills....
I worry about his safety thought.....
He don't take any prescription meds and everything that he is taking, he been taking it a long time he say and many other vitamin supplements.

I work out with him.
I lift heavy weights too and I m always been fit all my life and so is he...
Most of the times at the Gym, guys looking at me and my boyfriend don't look other women in that way...
He always say I look better than most women....he don't say all...but most lol

Anyway, I am concern but so far he is healthy as moose.
He does complain about some knee and albow pain time to time when he lift too heavy.....I give him a nice full body massage....

LOL @ "Bro Science." I know a lot of guys that trust bro/gym science more than actual science.

I once tested a theory that a man becomes stronger when in close proximity to attractive women. Had a girl I was dating straddle me while I did bench presses. Not sure how much stronger I was, but it was fun!

Doesn't it have a blindness risk? I lift and didn't know. I'm worried of my kidneys since I've been having pain. 100% natural. Is it the coffee? Whey protein? I've learned abuse now and don't worry. Guess what later comes sooner than you think and then your broken.

I could see the improved circulation helping but a good prework would probably have a similar impact and be a lot cheaper.

Creatine and protein are more for repair after you break down the muscle tissue.

Taking viagra or even cialis everyday as a pre workout is not that good. Yes you can get it legally in a liquid form and its cheap. cialis has better benefits than viagra as a pre workout but taking it all the time, I would not advise it.

even people who take a over the counter pre workout take a break.

I prefer to take transparent labs pre workout formula. No chemicals, colors, artificial bull****. And the dosages are high bc it is based on human studies. At least the ingredients found in transparent labs will help him BETTER to build muscles along with getting a great pump. Its two in one and safer than viagra.

I train at the east coast mecca time to time. All the guys you see in the fitness magazines, at the olympia, on tv, all train at my gym. I know what is being taken.

It never ceases to amaze me how much body builders will delude themselves on safety issues. Hardcore steroid builders dying by 50, and studies by medical professionals are ignored because Blutto at the gym disagrees.
Nearly anyone with dedication can achieve good results in bodybuilding, but way too many think this makes them smarter as well.

I use work for Pfizer in CT and your right the pill is just to increase the blood flood in the body to keep men erected longer. You know as woman you can use as well. I knew a few women using it. But it has side effects. He shouldn't be using it at his age. Unless it was designed to help men stay longer erected. There was some issues where the men were erected more than 4 hours because the blood flow to that area. So he using for other means, you could get heart-attack he has to be careful. Heart-attack can strike down healthy men. What's his blood pressure is like is it normal or way to high.

Oh you do, interesting.. I workout daily and leg bench 350 lbs and do dual arms and legs at 320 lbs. Butterflies at 120 to 150 lbs. At work they gave me a nickname but anyway..LOL Right now I use my own weight 180 lbs to work out with with the total gym. Got a machine for the 6 abs too. Got to eat right as well. i don't use these pills or no pills. My stamina is excellent and strong. Like I had mention i use to work at Pfizer make Viagra they even got a parking lot name after that drug. Blood flow increase i the body too much you can go numb or have erection last over 4 hours there are some side effects as well if you use it beyond the 3 doses is the limit per day. I don't use it don't have too LOL
