Hey! I started experiencing severe pain in my legs after my delivery. Later, I have noticed that my veins in leg got enlarged and twisted. But I had no time to look into that, I was running after my kids. I don’t know what causes the disease, but it is painful to deal with it. Every night I look at my swelled veins and thinks, this time I have to get rid of it. But, for the past three years I haven’t made any effort to cure the disease. Now, it is getting much worse. Discoloration and swelling of the veins are making me scared.

Now, I have taken a strong decision to cure this disease. I have heard that compression stockings which are made of strong elastic fabric can control swelling and twisting of veins to a great extent. I have consulted a physiotherapist in Mississauga and he advised me to try firm support compression stockings ( []). Does anyone here had an experience with the treatment? Is there any preparations I have to do before the treatment? Any insight on this would be great. Thanks in advance.

You wrote that you had no time to look into the cause and that you don't know the cause. However, you also refer to it as a disease and you are seeking a cure.

You should see your regular doctor (I stress MD), and ask for a referral to a hematologist (a specialist, and also an MD).

You have no time to see a doctor, but you found time to post here, and to consult with others.

Do not attemtp to diagnose and treat this yourself. You have no idea what you're doing. Compression stockings may be an appropriate treatment, but you may need more agressive treatment. The greatest risk is likely clotting, which can eventuall kill or paralyze you. See an MD. At the very least, you may need to wear a medical bracelet indicating that before any surgery or other invasive medical treatment, you need Lovenox or anoter anti-clotting agent.
