Our agreement was that if one wanted a drink we would try and talk each other out of it. However, if we were to be determined to have a drink we would have the initial one together. He evidently had a drink a few days ago (I think while he was traveling on business) and e-mailed me today to let me know. I feel let down that I didn't have the opportunity to talk him out of it, or to say yes or no to giving in to my drinking buddy.... How would you feel? Link to post Share on other sites
Art_Critic Posted February 4, 2006 Share Posted February 4, 2006 I would feel good that he let me know.. he could've just ignored you and never told you about it.. Being an Alcoholic myself we have a saying " one drink is too many and a 1000 is not enough " meaning it is always the first drink that leads to the 1000th. I would think that he wants to drink so he had a drink and then told you. Now that the pact is broken he can drink again.. Link to post Share on other sites
