Would such a post be welcome or helpful here?

Before I dived in and spent the time on it, I wanted to check and see if those of you who reply in the addiction forum would find a post that first spent some time on the components of addiction--a little different than the typical DSM description-- and some ways that have a greater chance of being effective for relating with someone who may have an addiction or use issue, and may or may not recognize it, from someone who may have taken a class on the subject in the very recent past from a really no-nonsense clinician who specializes in the subject? As well as, if people wanted info on what to look for in a therapist or specialist to help them with recovery, what theories and skills would be important for them to have and be familiar with?
