Welcome to Loveshack, the only forum on the web featuring time travel!!!

Surprised more people haven't noticed that yet. The lag has continued to widen since it was first discovered and appears to be effecting everyone.

Unfortunately still nothing we can do to fix it until Paul decides to check in.

I'll merge this with the already running thread. ~T

Another thing I noticed when logging into LS I get a pop up when I put my pw in saying that 'this site does not have a secure connection.' I assume this is something the owner of LS can fix and secure the connection?

Has anyone else encountered this when logging in?

Loveshack still uses http which isn't secure. To be considered a secure site by your browser, sites must use https which has an additional layer of encrypted security.

Yes, Paul allowed our security certificate to lapse quite a while ago. This Connection is Untrusted [SSL certificate expired]

Unfortunately that is another one of those things that we do not have access to and Paul has not had any interaction with us in a couple years now.

We keep doing the best we can in his absence but items like the time lag, security certificate, and any major additions/upgrades to the site remain out of our control. ~T

Problem with Loveshack cert -- time discrepancy

Hi, not sure anyone else is having this problem, but I couldn't go in the usual way, loveshack.com because Chrome gave me an error that my time was wrong. I adjusted my time a few seconds. After I finally got on here by finding a thread link in search, I tried to see if I needed to set my time but it says all loveshack time is gmt, and when my clock was 9:17 Central time, your clock was 8:30 gmt. Now, I know my time is right now (though off an hour from your time), but I am pretty sure it's not 8:30 anywhere if it's 9:17 here, and it's keeping the certificate from working according to the error. Other sites I can get onto. Just letting you know in case the time somehow got off at Loveshack. Please check!

Thanks,
Preraph

Yeah, I think we have a thread running on that stuff somewhere in this forum. Bottom line is, well, it sucks!

However, since Paul isn't around to fix it, we make do.

ETA, I switched browsers, filed an exception and no issues since. Of course the forum is like a time machine

I've been here for years and never had that particular thing happen with the clock. guess I'll just make a new shortcut and avoid it. Thanks.

Time on forum?

For some reason, the time on the message board is off for me. For example, it's 8:53PM Eastern time here, but the forum says 8:33. Is there a way to correct this?

LoveShack's Time check test thread.
And, thanks William, for explaining how I can get on here at 6PM and before I know it, it's 6AM...but I've only been here for 30 minutes...I swear! .

After trying some tests, now that the published forum time is approaching an hour behind 'real' time, one workaround is adjusting the time zone in one's profile to a time zone 'in the future', say like CDT to EDT, and see what happens when one posts.

When doing that with this post, computer clock read :57 and post stamp read :08, so still about nine minutes fast from the experiment.

What is time anyway?

This time lag thing is getting really annoying, glad to know it's not just me though.

I was thinking about changing my time zone, now that it's almost an hour, but it'll end up off again soon. It's frustrating when you glance at the forums to see if any have new posts and you have to start doing math.

Time test 4:38EDT

Forum clock reads, with the hack, 4:37EDT

Ha, no, actually the computer time was 4:28EDT so the hack still has the forum 10 minutes fast, or 50 minutes slow in reality. Getting there
