We see each other once or twice a week on the weekend and usually talk every night for an hour or two. I liked everything about this guy but at first it bothered me a lot that he wasn't talkative or could hold a conversation. It's been almost a month and he started to be more talkative and proved me wrong. THEN I began to wonder if he could hold a deep conversation where I can get insight on him as a person. Deep conversation as in getting really into a conversation, talking freely with your mind and opinion, talking from the heart (usually about life or 'what if' but can be anything really) So I brought up things like religion, gay marriage, smoking bans, etc. I thought it was safe since we both agreed on the same sides. But he just gave a part of his opinion and seemed like he didn't know what else to say about it. Then he brought my ex. I was thinking this is one of those conversations where we open up. I told him what happened and he just got quiet. I said "Don't be afraid to say what's on your mind" and he said he had nothing on his mind. I asked about his past gfs and he was very vague and gave little details about his thoughts and feelings. Usually when this topic comes up people talk and open up A LOT but he doesn't. I like him but it's extremely frustrating that I feel like he isn't opening up about his feelings. He opened up now as in being more talkative. I'm really hoping that if I give him time he can express himself freely. I'm usually an easy person to talk to and never had issues with conversing. What do I do? I don't want to let him go. moosegreen Posted March 25, 2011 Share Posted March 25, 2011 guys are like that....sounds alot like me, im bad for that too...i like to think things over befor i talk about them...as for deep convos is no probem its the talkin about your feeling stuff thats hard i find....but i wouldint worry to much about it, its who he is....i find it easer to find the right words over text but thats just me Link to post Share on other sites

Does it take you a while to get comfortable talking about that stuff to someone, if so how long? Does it take you a while to get comfortable talking about that stuff to someone, if so how long? I have just always associated being able to have deep convo=connection/closeness ya i find it hard ....i hate talking about stuff like that to my girl and to anyone really, i deal with whatever it is on my own...i just straght up dont like talking about that kinda thing....if i love someone i can tell them how much i do but id rather show them ....and i can open up on here no problem cuz i can take the time to find the right words and now one knows who i am lol but thats just me i dont know your man so it could be a differnt story....but hope this helped ask away if theres anything els Link to post Share on other sites
