Father's Day guilt

So Father's Day is this Sunday and I just spent three weeks with my parents in May for vacation. After a lonnngg week at work, I had originally decided to just take it easy and clean up the house and go out with friends this weekend. However, my mom is making me feel super guilty for not wanting to come home this weekend and see dad for Father's Day. You know the drill... "he has done so much for the family," "you will be a father one day and want your children home," etc. etc. I live about 2.5 hours away and have already sent a card and gift. He is almost 60.

What would you do?

Go. If I could go home for fathers day (and mothers day) every year, I would! You can go. So go. You can chill out next weekend!

Even if you had to take a plane to get there, you should go.

What could you be doing that's more important than having a great time with your family?
